Hi there!  I’m Rosie the Rocket Roller Derby Girl and boy has my life changed for the better in the last three months, thanks to Golden Retriever Rescue of Iowa.

I came from a home where my parents worked long hours and I was in a kennel much of the day and when I was out, I did not have a fenced yard so I could not run and play as much as I would have liked.

GRRoIowa got me into a great foster home with a Mom and Dad who gave me lots of physical and mental exercise, trained with me, and loved me all the time.  I also had a foster fur brother and fur sister to run and play with in a nice fenced yard.  I learned how to go on daily car rides to fun places like Fleet Farm with my foster family.  We visited with lots of friendly people who wanted to know all about me and who gave me lots of pets and love.  

And then after two and a half months with my foster family, they found the perfect forever family and home for me!  I now have a Mom, Dad, and Aunt who are home most of the day.  I have a sister and brother who adore me.  And I have a fur sister named Onyx, who is also a Golden Retriever Rescue of Iowa girl, to run and play with all day.  We have a beautiful 2.5 acre fenced yard to chase each other in and to run after the squirrels that dare to enter our space.  My forever family has named me Opal and my sister and I are the perfect gems!  This was the family and the home that I was meant to be a part of and I am such a happy girl!
