Bella is turning 8 this October, and she is ready to spend her golden years as a cherished family member! She is a massive cuddler who craves affection. In fact, she is so loving that if you are petting another dog, she will gently nudge her way right into your lap to get her share of the love!
Here is everything you need to know about this sweet senior gal:
SMART & MOTIVATED: Bella knows her name, sits beautifully on command, and takes treats with the absolute gentlest mouth. She is highly food-motivated, which makes her a joy to interact with!
CRATE TRAINED CHAMP: When you say kennel up, Bella runs right inside because she knows a tasty treat is waiting for her. She sleeps soundly in her kennel at night and stays there safely whenever her humans are away from the house.
DOG FRIENDLY (1-ON-1 PREFERRED): Bella loves having a canine companion! She does best in a home with another dog, so her forever home must also have a dog similar in size. While a big group of dogs playing can overwhelm her, she does wonderfully with one-on-one playtime.
CAT FRIENDLY: She can live with feline friends, but they need to be dog-savvy cats. There are times she will completely ignore them, but other times she gets into a playful mood and wants to torment them into joining her games!
KID FRIENDLY: She prefers a calmer environment; she would do best with older children who understand boundaries and won’t cause too much loud commotion.

*A securely fenced yard: No tie-outs or invisible fence. Bella gets startled by sudden movements and loud noises, and we want to ensure she never gets scared and tries to break loose.
*A patient leader: When Bella does get spooked by something (sometimes things we can’t even see!), her go-to safety move is tucking herself directly between your legs for comfort. She walks ok on a leash but needs that extra reassurance when the world gets loud.
*Clear kitchen counters: Bella is a professional counter surfer! Her future family will need to keep food pushed back, as she loves to inspect the counters for snacks.
