Surrender a Dog

The dogs we receive come into our care for many reasons. If you have decided you can no longer care for your dog, please reach out to us, and our intake lead will be in touch with you as soon as possible. 

Once we receive your message, we will contact you to set up a time to discuss your dog. 

If we are able to take your dog and a foster home is found, transportation will be scheduled.  At the time of pickup, we will have you complete the release form, and we will do a behavioral assessment. By doing so, you are relinquishing your rights to the dog, and they become a GRRoIowa dog.

We know this is not a easy decision and is a very difficult time. Rest assured, we will find them the best home.
